Good day. We're running PS HR8 on Oracle 92070 RAC / Windooze with a EMC 600 SAN. I'm doing some research on the SAN and it's settings.

Is anyone using a remotely similar config. I'm interested to see if people have played with things like
> Setting read cache performance . Dell says it should be about one third
(33%) of the total available cache
> The cache page size and using different page sizes
> Turning off cache for individual luns
> One of the DELL consultants I spoke two told me that having a db span
multiple
enclosures is asking for performnace degredation. As I like to keep our disk sizes small
is it true that adding multiple enclosures will be a no no for performance?

I'm not so convinced that the SAN is such a marvelous work of art and often wonder
if it's really any better than SCSII.

Thanks

Steve
