How big is the clob and what version of db? My 23GB clob on 9.2.0.7 takes
100 minutes to export. Deleting 1GB takes 15 seconds. Actually my clob is
xmltype. I'm actually pretty impressed with how oracle manages the xmltype
column. The actual data is 252Mb, the rest is all xmltype.
