Just curious - why would you suspect it to be a DDL operation? Seems to me that DML would be more likely. Also, you say "another DDL", as if SELECT FOR UPDATE WAIT is also a DDL statement. Maybe it was just a typo, or am I missing something?

 It is most likely to result from another DDL operation against the same table.
