Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RAC 10.2 + Sun Cluster 3.1 + QFS
I have a question for QFS file system in RAC configuration.
Here are the hardware configuration for 2 node RAC:
Host hardware: Sun V490, 2 CPU, 8 G ram
Storage: Sun StorEdge 3320
Software: Oracle10.2 RAC, Solaris 10 and Sun Cluster 3.1
Base on the hardware configuration, I believe the storage optiions I could choose for different RAC component are (correct me if I am wrong):
Oracle Clusterware files (OCR and voting disk):
Shared RAW
QFS
Oracle RAC software:
Local file system
QFS
Oracle datafiles :
ASM
QFS ???
Shared RAW
Oracle flash recovery area:
ASM
QFS ???
Am I correct? Could I use QFS for Oracle datafiles as well as flash recovery
area? If yes, is there a perticular reason to choose QFS over ASM beside
eaiser file management?
Thank you in advance.
