You can write a C extproc and call the shell scripts from that C sub routine via a PL/SQL function or procedure.

Subject: calling external program

Hello,

I need to run an external script (unix), from a stored procedure. I know this can be done with a Java stored procedure. Any other suggestions ?   thanks.
