If you are looking at an automated way to do this ...
Use Perl and the DBI and DBD::Excel modules. You could read the Excel data using Perl, write it to a named pipe which would be the input to the SQL*Loader process. Very easy to do and may help you with automating the whole process.

Subject: how to load data from Excel sheet into Oracle tables using
SQL*LOADER
Hi All,
Is there a way to load data from an Excel sheet into an Oracle table using SQL*Loader? I know there must be.
Please, can anyone help me out how this can be achieved. Thanks in advance.
Vikram.
