Data Guard isn't that hard to set up, but I found a Metalink document
Note:211016.1 very useful.

Rich,
The Oracle documentation is actually very good. I followed it step by step last week and set up a DG database in about an afternoon (a very small test database). The longest step was restoring the database via Rman to the machine.
Good Luck!

Subject: Data Guard learning resources?
Hi all,
We're looking to possibly implement Data Guard in 10gR2 and I'm looking for learning resources (books, websites, favorite MetaLink articles, etc) to use in conjunction with the docs.
Anyone have any favorites?
TIA!
Rich
