"At least this is restricted to the client....as far as we know....;-)"
Maybe not - the patch replaces the sltrg.o object in libcore10.a...
However, it did fix our problem - unable to start a /nolog (or any other) session on the server.
I now know what (exactly) the problem was, but the system uptime was at 198 days when the issue first presented and is at 222 now...

Heheh.....it's baaackkk....the infamous 248 days bug....
If I recall correctly, there was a bug back in 8.0.5, I think?, that caused your database to hang after 248 days. I remember getting reminder emails that we set up to work around the problem... "system has been up for xxx days, you have yyy days left to schedule a reboot"....;-)
At least this is restricted to the client....as far as we know....;-)

PS Ah, here it is, note Note:118228.1, bug #1084273, affected 8.0.x through 8.1.6 inclusive.....

This bug is sort of nuts, but I thought everyone should know before they
get hit in production - we may be hitting it in testing (10.2.0.1). See
