I've pinged one of our CRS automation developers, but I'm pretty sure you need to recreate the cluster in 10gR1 to do that. In 10gR2, the CRS is a bit more sensible and you can unregister and register objects in the CRS, but the R1 CRS has some limitations.
Thanks,
Matt

Steve, I believe that it would be easier for you to reinstall Oracle software at the same time as you change hostname in that case (RAC 10g R1). Personally I haven't any experience with changing a hostname in a RAC 10G environment , but I think it would be easest way to accomplish it. Oracle RDBMS (re)installation is not a big deal. Just my 0.02 £, Yury PS Let us know which way you will choose. On 4/17/06, Steve Perry <sperry_at_sprynet.com> wrote:Received on Mon Apr 17 2006 - 18:47:26 CDT
