async io on redhat 7.1

dear all,

could anyone have experince with activating async io on redhat 7.1 and oracle 9ir2.0.1 database?

[root_at_localhost /root]# uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.2-2smp #1 SMP Sun Apr 8 20:21:34 EDT 2001 i686 unknown
