RE: Grid Control - opinions please

I posted a very similar set of questions one week ago.

I am three weeks into installation, and I have a very complex, firewalled environment with numerous locations and disparate types of hardware. This has made configuration and implementation of the agents ridiculously difficult. I've opened several TARs with Oracle, and still don't have resolution. The product seems impressive, to the point of intimidation.

If it does all it says it can do, reliably, then it could be worthwhile (key word being "worth") if you can negotiate a decent price for it with all it's features.

I personally believe there are several better products out there on the market that are easier to configure and install. But I see promise for this. With 18 years working with Oracle and it's products, I don't see this one maturing until about 2013...
