You can change this setting in Microsoft Outlook using:
Tools-Options-Preferences-Email Options- and unchecking "Remove extra line breaks".

Paula,
Outlook may have removed extra line feeds. When you open the message, check at the top of the window to see if there is a message, such as "Extra line breaks in this message were removed." If so, click on that message, and click "Restore line breaks."
