Our resident unix guys write a lot of Perl. They wrote an agent that
constantly monitors all our productions databases for various things
and page us whenever it finds something _odd_. Thankfully that agent
is fully trainable, so we keep training it.
And for hooking into Oracle, Jared's book does come in handy 8:) I hope to get it signed at Hotsos this year. Hopefully i am in good books with Jared ...
