Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: user authentication without OID
Hey Jared,
I thought that OID was only included with Oracle for Names resolution
(ie. as the direct successor to ONames), but authentication still
required an additional purchase. A quick search of the archives seems
to agree:

Am I missing a followup message?
I'm going through Oracle's pricing structure now, but that's gonna take awhile... ;)

OID is free to use with Oracle licensing. Search the Oracle-L archives, as this has been discussed here before, and search oracle.com. Jared
