A couple of thoughts came to me in this general thread:
- an Oracle employee dropped an off handed remark to me in January
that 9208 was still pretty far off (Summer maybe, they said). They
could be wrong.
- Wouldn't it be nice if cpujan2006 was cpudec2005, so we could use the
holidays to get our patching done with lower business impact. Not
much going on from dec26-jan2 round here.
- I should be in the Caymans from dec26-jan2.
- Some people can't patch because 3rd party apps can't move
to a supported/patch levels. I've heard that they are using snort
to /dev/null interesting traffic. In this case, interesting are the
know exploits such as the alter session stuff.
