RE: Oracle 8.1.7 32-bit on AIX 5.3 64-bit

I don't think it matters whether it's 5.1, 2, or 3 - any 5L version will have the same issue, unless I'm missing something - somone please correct me if that's the case.

Ideally yes go to 5.3, but he seems reluctant to put the patch on. If he is that reluctant, stay with 5.2. What will he need to go to 5.3 for within a year? The app is running on an 8.1.7 database, do you think it is going to require 5.3 of AIX next year?
