RE: Why doesn't setting of NLS_DATE_FORMAT work.

Hi,
When the job is run by Netbackup do you have a script that does an "su - oracle -c..." \ type command? If so, do you export the NLS_DAE_FORMAT inside of the "su" bit, if you don't \ it will not apply.

I set NLS_DATE_FORMAT in the backup and I should get good time stamps like the one I've \ got for archive logs.

Yet, I do the same thing in the script kicked off by Netbackup and don't get the same \ results.

In both I'm using:

NLS_DATE_FORMAT=YYYY-MM-DD:HH24:MI:SS; export NLS_DATE_FORMAT

Anyone see this before?
