OT: Redhat linux install issues

This is sort of Oracle related. I want to play with oracle on redhat. I have a DELL \ Pentium M laptop. I have Windows XP and I have a 10 GB partition (I used partition \ commander) where I want to install redhat linux.

During the install my screen flashes constantly to the point where I really can't read \ anything. I looked around the web and found this the link below, but it is more related to \ x-windows. This is during the install.
