32 bit oracle standby running on 64 bit linux

Hello,

Currently we have 32 bit linux and 32 bit Oracle 9i.

My idea is to move to 64 bit in the following way:

install 32 bit Oracle software on 64 bit linux
install 64 bit Oracle software on 64 bit linux
setup standby of production using the 32 bit Oracle software on the 64 bit server
switch to this standby
shutdown, reopen with 64 bit and upgrade on the stop

Do you guys know if I can have a standby of a 32 bit Oracle database on a 64 bit server running 32 bit software ?
