They can password protect the directory the feed is stored in, perhaps
it would require login every time you fire up your RSS reader but that
should be it. Also they could at the very least post public feeds with
just the headlines.
Perhaps some of you are not as hyped on RSS as I am but I think you will be. I am able to keep up with over 100 different feeds from various sites and it doesn't take a whole heck of a lot of time. This is such a vast improvement over checking sites on a regular basis or getting emails.

Forget the PRE tag. Make it CSS and make it standards-compliant instead of IE-compliant (like all the <br> tags plastered within the <pre> groups on many Metalink articles).
All this talk of RSS, but I don't think I've seen a secured (password-protected session w/cookies) website with an RSS feed.
