Congratulations! You're a winner! You encountered a bug! The first thing to do is to report it to Oracle support, prefereably using phone, as Metalink is known to be slow. Give them the query you posted on this list, but do not give them neither the version of Oracle software nor the platform. They really like the guessing game.
