Nope...only how fast you can back it up. When using tape (and in general), a lot of factors come into play;

• Parameters (some init, some RMAN; files per set, set size, etc.)
• Syntax (number of channels)
• Hardware (number of tape drives, datafile distribution on disk)
• Tape Software (Over network bkp, LAN free disk-to-tape bkp, etc., compression)
