Simple solution: Shutdown DB. Copy all filesystems to tape or disks. Startup DB again.
I think you need to define what your requirements are. Is this once an hour, a day, a week, a month? Do you need access to both DB copies at the same time? Is this purely for security in case you need to recover? What kind of hardware do you have to secure the database components, tape drives, disks? What is your SLA for recovery on this DB?
Finally you bone up on what Oracle offers in the way of tools and inbuilt options, that match the previously defined requirements.

Subject: Nedd advice on backup Strategy
Hello All,
Can anyone suggest a simple backup strategy to backup and restore our development 10g database? Cloning? Replication?
Thanks,
Madhavi
