sql loader problem

Hi,

We have an text file containing 50M rows and some columns rows have special characters such as "&" etc. somehow sql loader don't like the characters having ascii >127 and it is putting those records in bad file. Do we have to put any special flag while importing using sql loader? Database character set is utf8 on 9i
