Hi Joe,
LOCAL is still working here.

On XP machines that have this patch (& those that don't) (with 8i, 9i & 10g clients) I can use LOCAL to connect to remote Oracle databases (both 8i & 9i).

On Windows 2000 Server with this patch (8i or 9i), I can also use LOCAL to connect to either local (8i) and remote (9i)Oracle databases.

Hope this helps,
Bruce Reardon

Quick question: has anybody on the list had this patch break LOCAL connectivity?

Thanks,
-joe
