Dear All,

I have 64-BIT sun solaris 5.8 with 32-BIT database server 8.1.7.4.
I need to increase SGA memory to greater than 2G by adjusting 'sgabeg' address.

My question is:
if physical memory is 16Gig, and i adjust SGA memory to about 3.7Gig, is it impacting PGA memory allocation? (i mean by increasing sga, am i sacrificing pga?)

What is the limit of (SGA + PGA) size on 32-BIT db server?

regards,
tomi
