Thanks Jared.  

            Like you said no solutions or answers there.  

            One person thought it was related to locally managed and all these TS are.

            Someone added a new one that went into 340,000 extents in 5 days. Old TS was in 8,000 extents in 18months.

            Not sure why, who made change. NEWer TS now 20-40 extents per/day.

            But the 340K still there.

Hi Larry,

Take a look at the following MetaLink forum docs: 520449.996, 606295.999, 360454.999.

These all refer to the same issue you are seeing. I just quickly skimmed those and did not see solutions.

You may want to email the posters though and see if they discovered anything else not in the forum.

            It came from a application trace 10046. I'm sure it was secondary oracle code as SYS.  

            Nothing in DBA_JOBS but STATSPACK.  

            They're saying it happens all the time the app inserts BLOBs.
