Proxy Authentication

Guru's,

I am finding conflicting answers on MetaLink...Can anyone tell me if V$SESSION in 9.2.0.6, does in fact show the "real user" with the proxy connection, and not just the "proxy user"?

Or does it only show the "real user" if the "authenticated using password;" option is used?
