    While it may be premature to publish one's resume, but any acquisition could find you on the outside looking in. And a number of these "investment firms" are in the habit of buying companies only to sell off parts thereof to a great profit. Have two friends who went through that, it can come very suddenly. One saw his division sold off to another firm that didn't need his skills. The other was combined into parts of another company similarly acquired and they got spun off. He kept his job. I'd take the Boy Scouts attitude on this one & be prepared. Never hurts.

I wouldn't go that far.
They are like many companies strictly an investment firm that buys companies up. I assume you work for Kerr Mcgee, so you should do some research on their previous purchases in the Chemical industry and how they are currently trying to spin the total chemical unit off as it's own company. The acquisision of your company would simply make the other chemical company acquisitions stronger as locking up another segment of the similar chemical market.

This is probably out of place in this list, but my company may be purchased by a company called Apollo Management, L.P.. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Apollo.
