Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Getting ORA-01034 and ORA-27101 error even though Oracle is u p...
Found the problem. I had the ORACLE_SID exported in lowercase and the SID =
set to upper case in my listener.ora file. Changed the listener file to
match the exported value and everything works.
Thanks,
Magnus

Subject: Getting ORA-01034 and ORA-27101 error even though Oracle is up...
When I try to connect remotely I receive these errors. I can connect locally without problems and if I run ipcs I see the shared memory. I'm running Oracle 9.2.0.6 on RedHat EL 3 AS
Any help is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Magnus Andersen
