Oracle Database Services Mgr Position-Newark, NJ

Newark New Jersey company needs a Oracle Database Services Manager (Supervisor)
to join it's IT team.

*Candidates MUST live within a reasonable commute of Newark NJ.

120-150K Base salary depends on experience level.

This is a full time staff position so no sub-contractors or third parties please.

NO H-1B candidates please.

*Responsibilities:
Manage team of DBAs for Database Administration, Database Design and Development,
Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning and Production Support. Implement technical Database technology direction along with standards and procedures
that will optimize database architectures, reliability and performance for all clients
and customers.

*Requirements:
-Min. of a 4 yr degree in CS or related field...MIS preferred.
-Minimum of at least 5-7 years of hands-on technical skills with large
Oracle databases
  along with support and development experience with at least 3-5 years directing projects
  in a dynamic and complex production environment.
-Expertise with Oracle 9i RAC, Linux, MS Windows 2000, 2003 environments.
-Business planning and implementation skills and knowledge of project life
cycle methodologies.
-Flexible and adaptable to changing technologies and business requirements.
-Strong knowledge of complex database management system technologies, tools
and methodologies
  and their applicability to solving business problems.
-Supervisory experience.
-Candidates MUST live within a reasonable commute of Newark NJ.
