No, this is general normal DB behavior and nothing to do with RMAN nor standby DB.

Just don't understand why Oracle can be open with temp or perm tablespace without datafile. Never mention (can't find) such behavior in Concept and Admin guide.
I even performed sorting wihtout the temp tablespace, I remember I did export and import then write few package and compile, insert and delete, select order by, group by, join table ect.. just curious where are those sorting being carried out?

May be Oracle never update the document for this new feature. Or perhaps I miss something and just learn new thing.
