write complete waits

Hi All,

I traced a couple of slow running sessions, and also got the information from statspack and v$session_wait views.

I saw a lot of "write complete waits" and the seconds_in_wait column as high as 41 (state=waiting) for that particular wait.

All the files for which the wait is happening (p1) are files of temporary tablespace.

Please let me know what might be causing the high wait times as well as high frequency of the wait.
