Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> SV: relink?
Shrek,
I would do a "relink all". Not because it is necessary now.
But next time you patch Oracle a relink will be becessary. If the relink fails at that time, you do not have any idea whether the cause of the trouble is the OS or the Oracle Patch. Then it is good to know, that you at least can restore from a backup and relink.

so they just told me that they're going to "rebuild" the one solaris server over the weekend, if i remember correctly, any changes to the OS will require a "relink -all" before i bring all the databases back up. or has bit rot set in and i'm misremembering?
if we don't change any of the file locations for the home or the data files that's all i should need, right? please?;-)
