thanx David,
My requirement is basically to do point in time recovery preventing as much
data as possible. The second thing is wht type of backup u r talkin about.
Let me put in this way:
I have taken one cold backup on say 20th April and the next is on 5th of
May. Then can I delete the archive files generated before 20th? Suppose I
deleted the file on 6th May and my db crashed on 7th 10.am then will be in a
position to do point in time recovery?
