I did read it -- I was one of the reviewers :-) and it is a good book. of course. Chris Date does not write mediocre books. moreover, this time there is no excuse not to read it; not too many pages, to the point, and indeed the minimum all relational database practicioners should know about the foundations behind the products they use every day...
