Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: IOUG Live Get Together - trip report?
I would suggest keeping your schedule and providing from the schedule
which sessions you went to. You could also use the session abstracts to
give highlights of what you will or have attended. Then take notes
about how good the presentation was, which sessions and speakers were
the best and provide that to management. Finally, take notes during the
sessions so that when someone asked you what you learned in one you can
say. =20
If they want more you can do a power-point presentation of highlights - which sessions were the best and specifically what you got out of them. But don't go there unless you are asked to. Start with the paper summarization first.
I would imagine your management wants to see if it is worth you going to these conferences and if they are getting the "bang for the buck" - so provide some meat - might even wish to include what you learned that you will be implementing in your systems and infrastructures - that would be the best way to show that the $$ was worth it and set it up so you can go and your colleagues in future years. Definitely I like the idea of "what I learned at Oracle camp...and from that what I am planning to implement in our organization and why implementing this will make our systems more reliable, faster, easier to maintain....."
