Yep, I've used BBED - only for having some fun, there's not much serious
stuff you can/should do with it.
I discovered the password in couple of minutes, it really doesn't take much to write a loop in a decent shell...

It's a really trivial task to find the password if you think about it a bit, that's why I think it's everyone's own responsibility to find it out if you actually need the utility. Also, the more people start messing up their databases with bbed, the more likely will Oracle remove it from next distribution at all or encrypt the password or similar...
