Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: registry keys, WinNT, uninstalling 10g
Log on to metalink and look for deinstalling oracle. There are papers with
detailed instructions for really cleaning up an Oracle installation. The CD
uninstall doesn't really take care of everything.

Subject: registry keys, WinNT, uninstalling 10g
I'm uninstalling 10g from Windows NT (workstation), and although the instructions provided by Oracle in their CD documentation are pretty good, there is one ambiguity with reference to registry keys.
The documentation refers to a number of characteristic strings in the registry ('oracle', 'orcl','ora', etc), including 'ORADC'. Can anyone tell me if this includes the following keys:
"_DORADC" and "_DORADCEvents",
Each appear a total of twice, in
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Interface
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Classes/Interface
Should these keys be deleted too?
thanks very much,
peter
