RAC 9.2.0.4 on Solaris 8 using Sun Cluster 3

This is going to be a 2 node cluster. What is the normal installation procedure for RAC?  

Do you guys normally install the RAC binaries on a shared disk across the 2 node cluster or on individual disks on the 2 nodes? Is the latter option feasible or advisable. I can't see the benefits of installing the RAC binaries on local disk.  

Any advice would be welcome.
