As far as I understand, architecturally there is not much new in 10gR2
(ever R1) in regard to RAC. Recently, we had a workshop with an Oracle
guy in charge of 10gR2 RAC development and my impression was that
there are very few things really new in 10g - like CRS and the whole
cluster software stack from Oracle, dinamic block remastering, ASM,
and something else, but not really a lot. Anyway, we wouldn't use any
of these new features since they are too new.
On the other hand, with 9i we've hit some...
limitations/bugs/"features" that are only fixed/improved/etc. in
10gR2. I don't have exact list handy, but that's my impression.
