Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: dump reading
Hi Edgar,
these seminars were developed in my team, when I was still in Oracle
curriculum development.
the first one is called "Dumps, Crashes, and Corruptions" and it goes in
quite some detail
about generating and interpreting block dumps.
I still teach them every now and then, upon request ... Cheers,
Lex.

One interesting note is that Oracle has seminar series called "Oracle9i Database: Seminar Series for Oracle Server" that will teach to dump and interpret block dumps. You can read more http://education.oracle.co.uk/html/oracle/1001/73/99/d16665gc10.htm
Too bad that Oracle doesn't provide course documentation/additional documentation regarding to this topic.
