Subject: rman: how do you backup the recovery catalog database?

Which is a better method to backup the recovery catalog?

By logical or physical backup?

Horror stories? Good ones?

rcat db 10.2.0.3
os Linux SUSE 8

target dbs 9.2.0.4 and 8.1.7.4
os: SunOS 2.8
