Hi
Just for curiosity: What is the problem with having V7 clients connecting to V9.
I know there is a problem with migrating from RDBMS V7 to V8 because length of rowid changed and therefore some client applications (e.g. forms 3.0) could not use a V8 database.

Subject: Oracle 8i on Windows 2003
Has anyone here installed, or attempted to install 8i on Windows 2003 Enterprise?
Problems encountered and success stories both welcome.
I need to move an app that is in a 7.3.4 database to 8i. The question
now
is whether to do it on Windows 2000 or 2003.
Moving to 9i is not an option due to the v7 client.
Linux is also not an option, unfortunately.
Thanks,
