Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: name-service call wait in Rac
Thanks for sharing the information gopalkrishnan
There is a log generated by the oracm at that time
But one thing i saw at the time which i forgot to
mention perviously was the second instance was not
brought down but was totally hung i could not run any
queries at all on that sqlplus was getting hung
couldnt do anything, Well stupid of me not take any
dumps at that time(it was early in the morning at 4 am
when i called was for this).Aborted the first instance
and then this instance also brought it backup up and
then tried the first instance it came up cleanly.
Hence do not have much information about what was
going on in the second instance
Here is just a little glimpse of that orcm.log file at
the time when it was getting hung
If you can analyze and help me out as to what exactly
was going on that time i can ship both the orcm.log
files it will be a great help.
Please let me know
Thanks again for sharing the information
