Problem is due to a jre installation that is not compatible with jvm The only jre that is present is the old one 1.1.8 Java is installed in version 1.4. I have HP-UX 11.11 here. I suspect HP java installation for 1.4
is either wrong or I have to correct manually a link

$ORACLE_HOME/JRE@ -> /opt/java/jre
PATH=/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0.1/bin:/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0.1/bin:/usr/bi n:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/contrib/bin:/opt/hparray/bin:/opt/nettladm/bin:/opt/upgr

ade/bin:/opt/fcms/bin:/opt/pd/bin:/opt/resmon/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/contrib/
bin/X11:/opt/graphics/common/bin:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/mozilla:/opt/mx/bin:/op
t/ignite/bin:/usr/sbin/diag/contrib:/opt/spb/bin:/home/oracle/bin:/opt/java1
.4/bin

Oracle version is 9.2.04
$ uname -a

HP$ ls jre

So there is no jre in my /opt/java1.4/bin/jre/bin directory

Hope you can help me urgently because I'm not getting any progress with my sysdadmin here.

Tnx,

Jeroen
