Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: How to convert RAC database to single Instance Database
It's just like every other cure for Windohs -- hack the registry, =
reboot, delete services, reboot again, rename some .DLLs, reboot, relink =
Oracle, reboot again, then when it doesn't work, delete all Oracle =
registry entries, delete the OUI folders in %TEMP%, delete all the =
Oracle-installed folders, and re-install Oracle.
And reboot.

Subject: RE: How to convert RAC database to single Instance Database
On nice operating systems, de-installing RAC/ops is done by executing make -f $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk no_parropt install I don't really know how is that done on Windows. This step is mandatory, =
because if this isn't done, then sqlplus will be looking for DLM when=20 connecting as SYSDBA, and will report a TNS error, followed by ORA-3113=20 when it doesn't find it.
