Apparently Jonathan's "Practical Oracle 8i" is a pretty highly appreciated/respected/used book. On the other hand I am a bit worried about going for such an oudated[?] Oracle version even though I assume from the book's Contents that it talks about a lot of Oracle's internals/basics, which obviously haven't changed that dramatically even in 10g. Is my assumption safe or should I be worried about the "8i" in the title?
TIA
