Shared Pool Advisory

A coworker is doing some poking about in 9i and has a few questions about the shared pool. I have not worked with these issues, the docs are typical and he wants to hear the good, the bad and the ugly of how it 'really' works.

Do you have any thoughts about the "advisory statistics", and how they can help you determine a good shared pool size?

Is the information in v$shared_pool_advice any good?
