Completely agree. Where special measures are taken to prevent the normal
command to setuid from working, you have to consult with sys admin to get it
back in the normal place so the Oracle install works properly. My point was
that possibly it was more than just not running root.sh as root. (But
probably that's all it was, anyway.)

Mark, I know all about setuid root programs and security hole that they represent, but oracle executable needs to have setuid to oracle protection. It's an installation requirement, not my invention.
